Junior Boys make a very welcome return to our lives with their fourth album, three years since predecessor 'Begone Dull Care'. Now firmly established as one of the world's pre-eminent blue-eyed disco-soul groups, they present a set of laidback, streamlined and spacious productions, much more diverse than their previous two, and dare we say, recalling the immense gratification of their debut.

Junior Boys It's All True on 2LP The insistent tempo and playfully anxious production of the aptly name album opener “Itchy Fingers” opens Junior Boys’ fourth album with a crisp refreshing bounce. And then almost as suddenly comes the moody tranquility of “Playtime” which showcases just how great an emotive singer Jeremy Greenspan has become.. Two songs in and you come to realize.

This album did not disappoint. After several records, they've proved that they're still capable of putting out music that is as hip-shakin' as ever. My favorite tracks: "A Truly Happy Ending," "Second Chance," and "Itchy Fingers," but they're all worth a listen. Thanks, Junior Boys!/5(11).

Jun 10,  · “Itchy Fingers” is far from the ambition Junior Boys have showcased before, and in that way it serves as a precursor to the more lighthearted and accessible direction on It’s All True, Junior Boys’ “summer album” if one was ever forced to pair up their releases with seasons.

Jun 13,  · In that sense, It's All True sounds like the album the Junior Boys have been moving toward their whole career. Opener "Itchy Fingers" is actually a bit of bait-and-switch. It's the most.

Junior Boys singer Jeremy Greenspan nails some lovely high notes on the pouty tune “Banana Ripple,” and I swear I heard the song “A Truly Happy Ending” years ago in the movie Mannequin. Some cosmic tracks, such as “ The Reservoir,” are relaxed, dreamy things while others, such as “ Itchy Fingers,” move like all get out.
